I also know people who write blogs for a living and sell advertising on the blogs. You need a website, lots of visitors, adsense and affiliate partnerships and great enthusiasm for writing.





I know a guy who has a consulting business and he gets his clients from his website. You need a website that first and foremost tells visitors "What's In It For Me", and you need deep expertise in some niche area of business.





You could buy an already operating site at the Sitepoint marketplace and market it an pump up the volume. You need to be able to get more traffic to the site and get those adsense ads and affiliate deals going.
