The most important way to SAVE money is to keep an eye on exactly what is both 'coming in' as well as 'going out'

Creating a budget can a bit be intimidating for many people, but it is an essential tool for stable and 'sane' financial planning. If the word 'budget' scares you, think of it as a 'spending plan' instead, or think of it as assessing your 'monthly cash flow'.
==========================
Keep in mind, whichever term you decide to use, your plan, budget or cash flow is not written in stone - you can and should reassess and reevaluate your situation on a regular basis. You have to mind your money just like you have to mind your kids - responsibly if you want them to grow and prosper.

Reply:Go to fpanet.org That is the site fir the Financial Planning Assoc. Find a financial advisor (CFP) who works on an hourly basis. Invest some time and money and let that person give you directions in preparing a spending plan, how to set up savings accounts, investment accounts, what to do re retirement , etc
It will be more than worthwhile.

It comes down to committing to yourself to your budget, and if you see something you like, DONT BUY IT!!, even if it is on special.
Whats something you saving up for? Change your savings acc name to 'Trip to Europe' or 'First Car' and keep a reminder of it in your wallet, so everytime you go into your wallet to buy something you know you dont need, you'll get a guilt trip and punish yourself for even thinking of wasting money. Go for a walk for an hour.
Thats all the tips I got for you, at the end of the day, You are the one opening your wallet.
To some folks, they make saving money look easy and in a way it is for them, because they are very well organised. They normally already have everything they need, cause they never wasted money on crap they didnt need. Can you see a pattern forming here?
Organise and committ
